This project was to rejuvenate an outdated, utilitarian cafeteria style dining room into a contemporary, destination restaurant. The main brief was to rationalize the existing internal space and architecture. This was achieved by utilizing the central colonnade as a focus for the new buffet location, and the new internal spaces, bar and formal dining areas. The use of black granite cladding to the colonnade and central flooring area, and walnut timber partition screens with coloured insert glazing, defines the area and creates a contemporary and relaxed dining atmosphere.Client: Pedersen Hotels
